LIFE implementa prácticas que cumplen con las pautas de la HIPAA en lo que respecta a la información médica protegida (PHI). Esto incluye mantener la confidencialidad de todos los clientes y su información médica en comunicaciones verbales, por correo electrónico y por escrito. Si se requiere que la información de identificación se lleve fuera de la agencia, debe estar bajo doble llave. Además, toda la PHI debe triturarse en una trituradora aprobada por la agencia. Los empleados recibirán una capacitación anual sobre la HIPPA. Nuestra agencia también cuenta con un oficial de cumplimiento y una carpeta de HIPAA.
